Thanks for visiting SEULEMENT UNE FILLE.
Have a look around, enjoy, and let me know what you think!
Inspired by La Petite Fashionista, I decided to do a little questionnaire.
Who is your favorite designer?
Chloé is probably my absolute favorite. I also love YSL, Dries Van Noten, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, and Marni- especially for shoes.
If you could come back as a dress, what would it be?
I would love to be anything from the Spring 2006 Chloé collection, but I especially loved this beauty:

If you could come back as a model, who would it be?
I think Lily Donaldson and Gemma Ward are absolutely stunning.
If you could come back with someone else’s body, whose would it be?
I like mine too, but Lara Stone has a fantastic figure.

What are you most vain about?
I’m pretty self-conscious, so that’s a tough one. Maybe my grammar snobbishness comes off a bit vain.
What are you most shy about?
I’m pretty shy with and intimidated by my “higher ups,” i.e. bosses, interviewers, etc.
Junk food?
Love it. I’m not a sweets person, but I make up for it with my love of salty foods. Chips are my waist’s worst enemy.
Who are your fantasy dinner-party guests?
Michael Franti, John Galliano, Hamid Karzai, and Salvador Dalí and Rafik Hariri (no one said they had to be alive!).
Fantasy celebrity one-night stand?
Benicio del Toro. HANDS DOWN.
Favorite place to have a drink?
I love the 515 here in Santa Cruz.
Underwear?
I have a vast variety, but I do like Victoria’s Secret. If I could afford it, it’d be La Perla all the way.
What can’t you travel without?
Books and my iPod.
Last book you read?
Married to a Bedouin by Marguerite van Geldermalsen. It was fantastic, and I can’t wait to graduate and get to all those books I haven’t been able to read the past four years!
At age seven, you wanted to be…
A teacher.
What’s the thing you find easiest to forgive?
Lateness.
What’s the thing you find impossible to forgive?
Bold-faced lies.
Biggest self-indulgence?
Absolutely shoes. I have a serious addiction.
Favorite place to shop?
I love H&M. There’s a couple great stores in Santa Cruz called Kurios and Bunny’s that I shop at, and Crossroads Trading Co. all over the States. I also love Neiman Marcus and Saks, but that’s mostly for lust-shopping.
Favorite place to shop online?
Shopbop and Net-a-Porter for browsing. GoJane is the best for cheap but awesome shoes, and Etsy for just about anything.
Whose diary would you most like to read?
Obama. I could see him as a journal-er.
Least favorite food?
Cauliflower. UGH.
If you were an inventor, what would you invent?
Teleportation machine.
Who are your favorite furniture designers?
I’m not going to pretend I know anything about furniture designers, but I love furniture shopping at Crate and Barrel, Restoration Hardware, Z Galerie, and Ikea.
Car?
Has been and still is the BMW 745Li. I also gotta rep my dad’s former employer, because the Volvo XC90 is a fantastic car.
What was your childhood nickname?
Bird and birdy.
When and where are you happiest?
With my family, neighbors, and close friends at one of our many cocktail parties.
What piece of art would you most like to own?
Dalí’s Autumn Cannibalism and Magritte’s The Treachery of Images.
What are your favorite vacation spots?
Anywhere in Denmark, Paris, Belize, and anywhere I still haven’t been!
Most treasured possession?
My grandmother’s wedding band and the needlework top passed down from my great-grandmother. Lots of sentimental value.
Favorite fictional character?
I love Daisy from The Great Gatsby.
Favorite musicians?
Michael Franti, Devendra Banhart, System of a Down… there are a lot more too.
If you had another profession beside your own, what would it be?
I’ve always wanted to be a writer. In addition to that, my dream career that I’m beginning to pursue is fashion buyer.
What current trends would you like to see disappear?
I can’t believe the Ugg trend hasn’t died yet. They should have been abolished from the very beginning.
Favorite trend of all time?
Platforms have been around since ancient times, but I think they really became a “trend” in the 60s. I still LOVE them.
Always…
Be you.
Never…
Regret.
